1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• •Registration data: mobile number or email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).
• •Profile data: name, age, gender, bio, interests, and photos you choose to upload.
• •Location data: GPS coordinates when you use the Service, to determine the venue you are at.
• •Communications: messages you send to other users through the Service.
• •Usage data: pages visited, features used, device type, browser, and IP address.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• •Operate and improve the Service, including matching you with users at the same venue.
• •Send OTP verification codes and service-related notifications.
• •Show your profile to other users at the same venue when you are checked in.
• •Enforce our Terms of Service and investigate reports.
• •Analyse usage patterns to improve product features.

3. Location Data

Location data is the core of Texsy. When you grant location permission, we continuously update your position to identify which venue you are at. Your precise GPS coordinates are never visible to other users — only your venue membership (e.g., "at Hotel ITC Rajputana") is shared. Location data is stored temporarily in Redis and expires when you leave or close the app. Historical location data is not retained beyond 24 hours.

4. Photos

Photos you upload are stored on our servers and are visible to other users at the same venue. You may delete photos at any time from your profile settings. Deleted photos are permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

• •With other users — your profile (name, age, gender, bio, photos) is visible to users at the same venue.
• •With service providers — third-party providers that help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, SMS delivery via Twilio), bound by confidentiality obligations.
• •For legal compliance — if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.
• •In a business transfer — if Texsy is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from Settings > Delete Account. Upon deletion, your profile, photos, and messages are permanently removed within 30 days. Location data expires automatically (see Section 3).

7. SMS and Text Messaging

Texsy uses SMS to deliver one-time verification codes when you register an account, sign in, or reset your password. These messages are transactional and are only sent in response to an action you take in the app or on texsy.app. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

• •Message frequency: you receive one message each time you request a verification code. There is no recurring or scheduled messaging, and typical use is fewer than five messages per month.
• •Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
• •We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose your mobile number to any third party for marketing purposes. Your mobile number is shared only with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) strictly to deliver the messages you request, and where disclosure is required by law.
• •You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at maaglobaltechinc@gmail.com.
• •Opting out of SMS means we can no longer send verification codes, which are required to sign in.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, bcrypt password hashing, and JWT-based authentication with short-lived access tokens. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to report any suspected security issues to maaglobaltechinc@gmail.com.

9. Children's Privacy

Texsy is strictly for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will immediately terminate their account and delete their data.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• •Access the personal data we hold about you.
• •Correct inaccurate data via the Edit Profile screen.
• •Delete your data by deleting your account.
• •Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
• •Withdraw consent for location data at any time by disabling location in app settings.

11. Cookies and Analytics

The Texsy web app uses cookies and local storage for authentication (JWT tokens) and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns.

12. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data: Twilio (SMS/OTP delivery), Google OAuth (if you sign in with Google), and Apple Sign In (if you sign in with Apple). Each of these services has its own privacy policy and data processing terms.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via an in-app notice or email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
